SKILL STANDARDS 101

Skill Standards 101 is for skill standards teams/individuals who need an introduction to skill standards. This videotape is designed to answer the questions:

  • What are skill standards?
  • Why are skill standards important to Business? Labor? Students? Educators?
  • How are skill standards developed?
  • What help is available on skill standards?
  • How do skill standards link with other initiatives, such as School-to-Work, K-12 Education Reform and Workforce Development Programs?

SKILL STANDARDS 102

Skill Standards 102 is for skill standards project teams/individuals who have attended Skill Standards 101 or have seen the video and who need to integrate skill standards into performance assessments and curriculum. 

This is a hands-on participatory (in person only) workshop, and we encourage you to attend with others from your team or institution.  Topics covered include a review of the uses of skill standards, how to work with advisory committees, how to select the appropriate skill standards to include in developing performance assessments and curriculum, including the development of learning activities.
